VCS Spring 2023: MBE 1-2 TS: The progress of rookie VCS

MBE has not been able to get their 2nd victory in VCS Spring 2023, but what they did against TS has shown a clear improvement of VCS rookie.

After the first 2-0 win before CES, MBE seemed much more confident and comfortable facing TS. From the fair way of banning and picking, it can be seen that the rookie VCS has caught up with this playground even though it’s a bit late.

Although MBE is a team with quite active and fighting style, but standing in front of a big brother like TS, it is still “suffocated” by a series of attacks starting from the 7th minute. MBE tries to balance. by taking away targets but still can’t fight TS again, especially when TS has a large Zeri too early.

Because of that, the match was too one-sided, so it went very quickly, after 20 minutes, most of the MBE turrets were stripped and despite trying to fight, Eddie holding Zeri 5/0/1 was still unstoppable. However, Slown still had his own voice when he had his Triplekill when TS did not finish the game and even “plowed down” the TS squad in the last minutes of the game.

But that’s all the MBE can do, the late counter-attack didn’t make too much of a difference as TS still ended Slown’s life and counted the first 1 point in this match.

MBE made a “tit-for-tat” right in game 2, in favor of TS wanting to play early, MBE even hit earlier when opening the scoring from 5 minutes. Followed by kills in 2 lanes. the rest is for MBE, it’s clear that this rookie has found the tempo of the game.

TS obviously doesn’t fit but MBE knows how to distance both kills is the amount of money to be able to lead the game. And this match has to call Zodiac, a very aggressive support card that has given Slown’s Aphelios much more ground in teamfights.

In the 27th minute the difference for MBE was 13k money, a death gap and it was very easy for MBE to end the game. However, MBE still played very methodically, ate the dragon’s soul and then ended the game, equalizing the score 1-1 for this match.

If the first 2 games were overwhelming from either side, then game 3 had a balance when both MBE and TS were cautiously aware that this game would decide the winner or loser. Neither side gives the other the advantage, all fights revolve around big targets like dragons or messengers.

With experience TS is still the team that has a winning teamfight and more turrets to increase a bit of advantage but not too much because the MBE is equally good at fighting. Even at 26 minutes, all advantages were almost leveled by MBE’s quality hunting moves.

MBE was in a hurry to counterattack on the steps and let TS have a clean phase, ending the match with a score of 2-1 for TS.
