Even if SGB is no longer in its heyday, it is still too difficult for MBE to defeat a traditional team at VCS Summer 2023.
MBE still had a pretty good early game against SGB. Like many matches, MBE easily got the first victory and had a slight difference in money, but the advantage of MBE did not last long when SGB also immediately “tit-for-tat” to balance the game. In the balance of money, MBE is always a weak team with too young experience.
SGB makes MBE “fearful” before the “touch is a hit” spirit of “red buffalo”, MBE is eager to fight, SGB is even more greedy and fights extremely aggressive. There were times when the MBE thought it would do something to turn the tide like the 19th minute teamfight, but even if it could change the life, the MBE would still lose when it lost both humans and dragons.
Even in many later phases, the audience saw that MBE dared to fight, had a strategy and made great efforts to hold onto the game. But even with a triple kill mid lane, MBE still doesn’t have much of an advantage. The game continued to struggle until 32 minutes, after MBE’s wrong split decision, SGB hit back and flooded to MBE’s main turret. Less than 1 minute later, the score was 1-0 for the red buffalo.
MBE’s matches have a rather stereotypical if not always the same scenario: game 1 is strong, game 2 is “beaten”. In that sense, MBE doesn’t seem to keep the fighting spirit high when losing 3 kills in the first few minutes in a row. Although after that MBE organized a good counterattack, the youth team’s goal management ability was still not good.
SGB played game 2 also seemed to relax a bit when the members had a lot of comedies, but MBE was not cunning enough to take advantage of SGB’s mistakes to the fullest. Even MBE had no way to gain an advantage on himself and was beaten by SGB to “end of rescue”. This time, SGB made things neater when ending the game at 28 minutes.
