Summary
Vegeta and Goku have a complicated fighting history with each other, with no definitive answer as to who is stronger. In Dragon Ball Z, Majin Vegeta defeated Goku after Goku let his guard down and delivered the killing blow. In Dragon Ball Super, an evil Goku named Goku Black defeated Vegeta, creating symmetry in the story between the two evil versions of each Saiyan warrior.
Although the two have fought many times throughout the Dragon Ball series, vegetable can only be defeated technically Goku once—a victory was completely overturned by Super Dragon Ball. The fighting history of the two powerful Saiyans is complex, with their battles often ending in unclear conclusions about who is the strongest. A battle in Dragon Ball Super saw an evil replacement for Goku completely take down the Saiyan Prince.
In Dragon Ball Z, when Vegeta was corrupted by Babidi’s magic and became Majin Vegeta, his inner rage and frustration turned against him as they became his metaphorical necklace, linking him to Babidi’s control. As Majin Vegeta, the corrupted Saiyan committed a number of brutal crimes, including the destruction of hundreds of people at the World Martial Arts Tournament stadium. In response to Vegeta’s villainy, Goku launched an attack against him, leading to the two facing off in an iconic bout of Super Saiyan violence. Their fight was fairly even, with both delivering devastating blows to the other. In the end, however, Majin Vegeta declared victory after Goku let his guard down, allowing the corrupt Saiyan to deliver the killing blow.
Dragon Ball Super pits good Vegeta against evil Goku
In Dragon Ball Super Chapter 20 by Akira Toriyama and Toyotarou, Vegeta and Goku travel to the alternate world of Future Trunks, where the villain Zamasu and Goku Black (who is another Zamasu possessing the body of an alternate Goku) have decimated destroy this planet and intend to do so. is the same for the entire multiverse. To save Trunks’ world and preserve all the others, Vegeta and Goku must stop these monsters right then and there, though it proves more difficult than the Saiyans initially thought. Due to his constant need to prove himself superior to Goku in whatever form Kakarot uses, Vegeta decides to fight Goku Black while the real Goku fights Zamasu. Unfortunately, although Vegeta initially puts up a good fight, this evil version of Goku ends up defeating him.
Just as Zamasu took over Goku’s body to become Goku Black, Vegeta was overcome by Babidi’s dark magic and corrupted into Majin Vegeta. To make the situations even more similar, both twisted versions of each Saiyan warrior win their respective battles. Majin Vegeta defeated Goku, and in almost identical fashion, Goku Black defeated Vegeta – thus creating a symmetry in the story that is too perfect to ignore. Although different, both Goku Black and Majin Vegeta represent each of the villains the most, with the main difference being the fact that there is no trace of Goku in Goku Black after Zamasu switched bodies with him , while Majin Vegeta is simply a pervert. version of the Saiyan Prince who is driven by the original’s rage and jealousy.
The real winner between Vegeta and Goku has yet to be decided
Few battles in Dragon Ball will attract as much attention as the battle between Vegeta and Goku, and it has happened many times beyond this one. Vegeta and Goku’s first match took place when they met and ended with Vegeta transforming into his Great Ape form and causing great damage to Goku. Goku also fought a clone of Vegeta in the Super anime and he defeated him brilliantly. Goku was also able to defeat a version of Vegeta possessed by the villain Baby in GT, somewhat similar to his Majin form. Finally, Goku and Vegeta fought a match in the movie Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, which Vegeta eventually won, much to his delight.
Although the circumstances of existence of the two evil Saiyans are not exactly the same, the visual similarities are striking and the results are identical, as vegetablea victory Goku was completely debunked by Super Dragon Ball.
