At VNG Campus (District 7, Ho Chi Minh City), VNGGames and Riot Games officially signed a cooperation agreement towards implementing the League of Legends Esports (LMHT Esports) plan in 2025, and shared important information before the Final Round of the Vietnam Championship Series 2024 Summer (VCS Summer 2024) tournament taking place on August 17 and 18.
This is the first time in 5 years that the VCS Summer 2024 tournament has returned to compete with live audiences after the online seasons due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Players will feel the enthusiastic atmosphere of the tournament with the cheers from more than 2,000 spectators. In this year's tournament, 3 teams GAM Esports, Viking Esports and Team Whales will compete to find the Champion, as well as determine the two teams representing VCS Summer 2024 to participate in the upcoming 2024 World Finals event. In addition, the team with the highest ranking in this tournament, excluding guest teams, will win a spot to participate in the new Asia-Pacific (APAC) League of Legends Esports tournament taking place in 2025.
With the message: “Forever We Stand”, the VCS Summer 2024 Finals is an opportunity for the Vietnamese eSports community to honor the legacies built from the tournament’s glorious past and look forward to a brighter, more glorious future on new journeys to the ocean. The current excellent teams and talented young players will continue to inspire and extend the fiery spirit of VCS in international and regional LoL Esports arenas in the future.
The VCS Summer 2024 Finals will take place on August 17 and 18 at Nguyen Du Stadium, 116 Nguyen Du Street, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City.
During the 2 days of the VCS Summer 2024 Finals, the area outside Nguyen Du Stadium will bring VCS fans a series of exciting experiences, including booths from Sponsors, game booths, photo areas and opportunities to interact with famous players and KOLs of the LoL community. In addition, before the VCS Summer 2024 Grand Final takes place, there will be an opening performance that promises to leave many memorable impressions for the more than 2,000 spectators attending.

Through the cooperation to implement the League of Legends Esports plan in 2025, VNGGames and Riot Games aim to bring a League of Legends tournament across Asia – Pacific, gathering top teams from the region, including Vietnam. The goal of the tournament is to introduce a new inter-regional arena, a place for the most talented players, bringing diverse, eye-catching matches and creating new competitions. This will be one of the five highest-level tournaments in the near future. The tournament will have a total of 8 teams, applying the Promotion – Relegation competition model.
There will be 4 Partner teams participating in the tournament, helping the Organizing Committee set standards for competitiveness and sustainable development. In addition, there will be 4 Guest spots, of which 2 will be based on performance after the Summer tournaments, the remaining 2 will be reserved for Special Guests, with the aim of ensuring diverse representation from all regions while maintaining a competitive environment.
