VTuber Cy Yu has been cast as Genshin Impact’s new five-star Electro character, Cyno, which will be available on the game’s Wish Banner later this month.

While players don’t necessarily have to spend money on RPGs, new and interesting characters will entice players to reach for the money to collect a whole team of powerful characters. Due to the huge character lineup, the game needs to recruit many voice actors. Both famous and relatively unknown voice actors make up the cast of Genshin Impact. VTuber Cy Yu is the latest actor to announce the role of Genshin Impact’s five-star lightning brand user – Cyno.

In addition to the tweet’s caption, Cy Yu attached a photo of the future playable five-star character, described as “The Secret Judge.” First originating in Japan in the mid-2010s, VTubers, or virtual YouTubers, have grown in popularity since the first of its kind, Kizuna Al, started creating YouTube videos in 2016. Tech icon consisting of a YouTuber or live streamer speaking behind the avatar. Alejandro Saab is the man behind Cy Yu.
Saab has delved into both the worlds of anime and video games during his voice acting career. The 27-year-old YouTuber gave Yuri Leclerc the voice of Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes on the Nintendo Switch in 2022. For the anime, Saab is the voice of Izumi Miyamura in the Horimiya anime series and Haruto Ichihara in Ni no Kuni 2020.
On September 16, .’s YouTube channel Genshin Impact published a video titled “Trailer” King Deshret and the Three Magi “version 3.1.” The aforementioned trailer features upcoming characters, like Candace, Nilou, and Cyno. Version 3.1 not only introduces new playable characters, but also expands the newest area of Genshin Impact: Sumeru. Sumeru finally introduced the player to the element of grass, with characters like Tighnari and Collei. In addition to its in-game developments, Genshin Impact is receiving an anime adaptation, with Studio Ufotable directing the project in partnership with HoYoverse.
Players can have Cyno on their Wish Banner Genshin Impact when Version 3.1 released on September 28. Currently, the only known four-star character on Cyno’s banner is Candace – a water-type character. If the player doesn’t want Cyno, deified Venti, the familiar tone-deaf, will be on another five-star banner.
