Over the past six months, Dying Light 2 has received several major updates along with countless bug fixes and technical patches. The first sizable Dying Light 2 update comes just two days after the game was released, showing Techland’s dedication to making the experience as smooth as possible for early gamers. But while Techland will continue to update Dying Light 2 with some new missions and parkour challenges, the first major update arrived at the end of April.

Simply titled “Update 1.3.0,” this free DLC adds a bunch of new content to the game. Along with a higher difficulty level for parkour challenges and a handful of new ones, this update has added the long-awaited New Game Plus mode which goes beyond what is normally expected from this type of mode. this. While most New Game Plus modes simply increase the difficulty of the player’s next turn, Dying Light 2 adds some spice, changes enemy positions, adds new monsters. and added some loot to reward players for taking on the incremental challenge.

In July, Dying Light 2 received another major update, this time changing the way missions work, adding some new currencies and laying the groundwork for Techland’s 5-year plan. In Update 1.4.2, Dying Light 2 received a new NPC named Agent Harper. When talking to Harper, the player will be given a series of missions, some of which are standard Dying Light 2 missions and some are brand new bounty missions. Completing these missions will now reward players with additional currencies and will boost their new loyalty rank. Continuing to earn this currency and progressing through the ranks will reward players with exclusive outfits and weapons. The next update for Dying Light 2 is update 1.5, which expands on the platforms laid out in update 1.4.2. A new Agent named Shen Xiu is introduced, bringing a new set of quests and bonuses to the game.

It looks like Techland has really hit its stride with Dying Light 2 over the past six months, and the developer has proven just how dedicated they are with a 5-year roadmap to post-launch support for the game.
