About Demon Slayer
In the anime, Tanjiro Kamado, a smart and kind boy, lives in the mountains with his family. After losing his father, he started selling charcoal to support his family.
Unfortunately, one day, a demon attacked and killed his family when he returned home. Only Tanjiro and his sister Nezuko survived, but Nezuko still retained her human emotions as a demon.
After Tomioka Giy, the Water Pillar of the Demon Slayer Corps, convinced Taijino to join, his life changed dramatically. The “Water Breathing” method was taught to Taijino under the guidance of Sakonji Urokodaki for over two years.
After passing a challenging exam, he joined the Demon Slayer Corps and promised to exact revenge on his family as well as find a cure for his sister. The demon who killed his family became Muzan Kibutsuji during one of his missions in Asakusa.
With the support of Nezuko, a skilled demon hunter trained to avoid harming people, Tanjiro begins a quest for extermination. To find a cure for Nezuko, Tanjiro allied with the demons Tamayo and Yushiro. To accomplish this, he must collect blood samples from the Twelve Most Powerful Demons of Muzan.
Zenitsu Agatsuma and Inosuke Hashibira, both survivors of the Demon Slayer Corps exam, meet him along the way. To protect Nezuko, the party receives the support of the elite member of the Legion, Hashira.
Together, they face formidable enemies, including Kizuki of Lower Fifth. Tanjiro’s “Hinokami Kagura” technique is revealed to be derived from the Breath of the Sun style developed by Yoriichi Tsugikuni, a legendary Demon Hunter.
When preparing for his final encounter with Muzan, he honed this technique. Anticipating Muzan’s intentions, Nagaya organized rigorous training for the entire Legion.
When Tamayo was ready to heal Nezuko, they confronted Muzan. They were trapped in the Infinity Castle along with the rest of Kizuki’s members due to Muzan’s cunning plan. The Legion must defeat the other demons to reach Muzan after Tamayo weakens him.
With Tamayo’s poison, the Demon Slayer Corps was able to weaken Muzan in the final battle, but they suffered significant losses, including some Hashira. After being fatally stabbed by Tanjiro, Muzan transformed Tanjiro into the ultimate demon in order to survive.
In the end, Tanjiro was returned to the human world thanks to the intervention of Nezuko and the help of his teammates. The Demon Slayer Corps disbanded after Muzan’s death as all other demons were destroyed.
As peace was restored, the descendants of Legion members and subsequent incarnations enjoyed a serene life free from dangerous demons. In the end, Zenitsu and Inosuke joined Tanjiro and Nezuko as they returned to their home.
Inosuke is married to Aoi Kanzaki, while Tanjiro is married to Kanao Tsuyuri. In the contemporary epilogue, Nezuko’s descendants are grateful for their ancestors’ sacrifices and live in peace.
