Hazuki Takeoka, Tiv also launches Masamune-kun no Revenge engagement manga this spring
Kodoani.com – Ichijinsha announced on January 25 that they have launched a new web manga label called HOWL, focusing on Vocaloid, horror and “emotional youth” themes. The website already has some manga available, and will launch new manga in February and for the rest of spring. Fujita (Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku) will launch a new manga titled Villain this month, while Hazuki Takeoka and Tiv will launch an engagement manga (tentative title) Masamune-kun no Revenge in late spring This.
Fujita’s new Villain manga based on Vocaloid producer Teniwoha’s song “Villain”, will launch in February 2020.
Fujita launched the Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku (Otaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii) manga on the photo-sharing website pixiv in 2014. In November 2015, the manga moved to Ichijinsha’s Comic POOL manga magazine. The manga ended in July 2021 with 11 episodes. The manga will have a spin-off that will appear on the pixiv comics service, along with Pool.
The manga inspired an 11-episode television anime that premiered in April 2018. The anime is streaming on Amazon Prime Video in and out of Japan. The first anime disc of the manga was released with the manga’s seventh volume in March 2019. The second anime disc was released with the 10th volume in February 2021. The third anime disc was released with the volume. 11th in October 2021. A live-action film adaptation of the manga opens in Japan in February 2020. The film debuted at No. 1 in its opening weekend.
Takeoka and Tiv’s Masamune-kun’s Revenge (Masamune-kun no Revenge) manga launched in Ichijinsha’s Monthly Comic Rex magazine in 2012 and ended in June 2018. The original anime disc (OAD) that Ichijinsha bundled with Volume 10 of the manga also tells a “back story” for the manga. Shipping volume in July 2018.
The manga received a special chapter in August 2020 about Masamune and Aki set after the final chapter of the original manga.

Takeoka and Tiv launched the Masamune-kun no Revenge after school (Masamune-kun’s Revenge after school) spin-off manga in Monthly Comic Rex in September 2018 and ended in January 2019. Ichijinsha published the manga in Monthly Comic Rex. a volume compiled as “volume 11” of the manga in April 2019 and Seven Seas Entertainment published the volume in June 2020.
A television anime adaptation premiered in January 2017. Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired in Japan, and Funimation streamed the English dub. The anime will have a second part titled Masamune-kun’s Revenge R ( Masamune-kun no Revenge R ) which will premiere this spring.
