Resident Evil 4 won the Grand Prize at the 2023 PlayStation Partner Awards
Kodoani.com – Yasuhiro Anpo, game director Resident Evil 4 remake, announced at the 2023 PlayStation Partner Awards that CAPCOM will announce more Resident Evil remakes in the future. Anpp shared that the company has been delighted with the positive reception from audiences to the three remakes already released and wants to continue producing more.
Resident Evil 4 remake received attention and won the Grand Prize at the 2023 PlayStation Partner Awards. The game launched on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC on March 24 and quickly gained over 5 million copies sold worldwide. This remake brings a reimagined storyline and new art style, using CAPCOM’s exclusive RE engine.
CAPCOM also announced updates and DLC for the game, including “The Mercenaries” and “Separate Ways”. At the same time, they announced that the game will be released on Apple devices, including Mac, iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and all iPads with M1 chip or higher on December 20.
Previously, CAPCOM had success with the remakes of Resident Evil 3 and Resident Evil 2. The Resident Evil 3 remake was released in April 2020, while Resident Evil 2 was released in January 2019 and won the award. “Last game of the year” at the Golden Joystick Awards 2019.
