Yofukashi No Uta is a manga that has brought vampire love to a new level with a compelling and unique plot. The serialization of this manga was done by Weekly Shonen Sunday. Licensing of this manga is done by Viz Media. There is also an anime adaptation of the manga produced by Liden Films.
Here is a short summary of the plot. Some people do not understand love and are hindered by this concept. Kou Yamori is one of those people who isn’t fascinated by it like others his age. For some strange reason, he suffered from severe insomnia and even dropped out of school. Because he couldn’t sleep at night, he roamed the streets when the moon was full and bright.
One night, while he was wandering because of insomnia, he met a strange girl who looked about his age. Her name is Nazuna Nanakusa. She tells Kou that she believes that people who can’t sleep at night are the ones who are unhappy with their own lives and the way they spend the morning. She also told him that such people can only go to sleep at night if they fix their problems in the morning.
This strange girl invites Kou to her house in the middle of the night, claiming that she can help him get back to sleep. When they got to her house, she told him to share the mattress with her. He agrees but gets annoyed and pretends to be asleep. This was when Nazuna bit his neck. Why did she do that? Because she’s a vampire! Instead of being scared, Kou was excited, thinking he would turn into a vampire too.
But the dynamics of the process of turning into a bloodsucker is completely different in this particular story. Now comes the turning point. To become a vampire, Kou needs to be bitten by a vampire he loves. That is the only condition for becoming yourself. Tired of his mundane life, Kou makes it his mission to fall in love with Nazuna and eventually become a vampire.

Summary of Chapter 154 of Yofukashi No Uta
At the beginning of this chapter, Mahiru Seki meets Nazuna, and he is surprised to see her. Nazuna asks him if he is expecting anyone else and assures him that the one he hopes to meet will appear soon. Meanwhile, she invites him to talk to her about love.
Meanwhile, Kou Yamori, who nearly drowned in the water when Kiku san tried to kill him, was saved by other people riding on motorcycles. He was helped out of the water as soon as Kiku-san emerged from the water, completely drenched. She tries to get out of the water to get to Kou, but the others stop her and tell her she’s not going anywhere.
Kiku san warns them not to get in her way but is interrupted by Kou, who tells her he wants her to meet someone. When Yamori Kou was riding his motorbike, he saw the Detective Girl standing there with a cigarette in her hand. She went there to meet Kiku san. Haruka san said that Nazuna asked him to do this. Kiku san asks detective to hurry and tell her what she needs to hear,
Back in the scene with Mahiru and Nazuna, Mahiru asks her why she blushed making her embarrassed and apologizes profusely. Once she had calmed down, she asked Mahiru what it was like to be in love with a vampire. She tells him that she has some questions to ask about Mahiru and Kiku.
