Seven Seas Entertainment will launch manga in English in February 2024
Kodoani.om – This year’s September issue of Monthly Young magazine, published by Kodansha, announced that the manga “”Yomotsuhegui: Scions of the Underworld” (Japanese title: “Yomotsuhegui: Shisha no Kuni no Kajitsu”) by Masasumi Kakizaki will end in the next chapter of the magazine’s October issue.
Seven Seas Entertainment Company will publish the manga in English, and it is expected to start in February 2024. The company described the manga content as follows:
The main character Nawa Kanetsugu used to be a policeman, but his life changes completely when his wife and child are murdered. In his quest for justice and revenge after being released from prison, he discovers he has a fatal wound, a manifestation of immortal strength. He feels himself change when faced with a mysterious girl who introduces him to the Yomotsuhegui, a tree of the dead. He becomes an immortal with monstrous powers and begins a new journey. The mysterious girl is the god of death, and she wants his help to deal with the other dangers of the immortals. Can Nawa find the humanity and justice in his soul, or will this monstrous power change him into a monster?
Author Masasumi Kakizaki launched the manga in Kodansha’s Monthly Young magazine in October 2021. The manga was published in the second compiled book volume by Kodansha in December 2022.
