Participants of the 2024 Japanese Championship Yu Gi Oh! Must be a Japanese citizen living in Japan
Kodoani.com – Konami has revealed new rules for the Championship Yu-Gi-Oh! Japan 2024 (OCG), specifies that only those with Japanese nationality and living locally will be allowed to participate. This marks a change from last year, when anyone was allowed to participate as long as they had a permanent address in Japan.
The first stage of the preliminary shop qualifiers for the Yu-Gi-Oh! Japan 2024 started on March 1 and lasts until March 31. Phase 2 will take place from May 1 to May 31. The finals are scheduled to take place in mid-July, with the top four representing Japan at the Yu-Gi-Oh! 2024, held in Seattle, WA on September 7-8. This tournament will use special rules that combine both OCG and trading card games, published by Konami in the East and West.
Manga Yu-Gi-Oh! by Kazuki Takahashi was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from 1996 to 2004. Since then, the series has spawned a series of movies along with products such as card games, anime, toys and new manga.
The eighth anime series in the series Yu-Gi-Oh!, titled Yu-Gi-Oh! Go Rush!!, premiered in April 2022 and will enter its third year in April.
