Kodoani.com – Kadokawa’s G’s Channel website launches manga spinoff Angel Beats by Yūya Sasagiri (Clannad: 4-Panel Manga Theater, Little Busters! 4-Panel) titled Tabisuru Tenshi-chan (Tenshi-chan Goes on a Journey) on Thursday. Jun Maeda is credited as the original story writer, and Na-Ga is credited as the original character designer. The spin-off manga is also serialized on Niconico Manga and Kadokawa’s ComicWalker website. The G’s Channel website will pre-post new chapters on the 15th and 30th of each month.
The spinoff manga centers on Kanade Tachibana, also known at school as Tenshi-chan, as she travels across the country in search of “someone”. Along the way, she meets a cheerful and energetic girl named Yuri Nakamura in Kanagawa. Tenshi-chan also meets “people (?)” who look a lot like SSS members (Shinda Sekai Sensen) on her journey. Will she find the “certain person” she’s been looking for?
Angel Beats! -The Last Operation by Yuriko Asami as the “first part” of the manga ended with its fourth compiled book volume in March 2020. Asami launched the manga in Kadokawa’s Dengeki G’s Comic magazine in August. 2017.
Asami’s Angel Beats!: Heaven’s Door manga ended in October 2016 and has 11 volumes. The series is a prequel to the anime series and follows the formation of Afterlife Battlefront. The story is adapted from the light novel Angel Beats!: Track Zero. As with the Tabisuru Tenshi-chan side story manga, Maeda is credited as the original story writer and Na-Ga is credited as the original character designer for both manga.
