Kodoani.com – Kadokawa has revealed a new promotional video for the anime adaptation of the manga Uncle From Another World (Isekai Ojisan) by Hotondoshindeiru during the anime’s AnimeJapan 2022 stage event on Sunday. The video reveals the anime’s July premiere date and the theme singers.
Mayu Maeshima performed the anime’s opening theme song “story”. Yuka Iguchi performing the Ending song “Ichibanboshi Sonority.” The respective CD singles of both songs will be released on August 3.
Yen Press licensed the manga and it describes the story:
17 years ago, Takafumi’s uncle Otaku was in a coma, but now he has returned as a man raised from his grave. Soon after, Takafumi makes two strange discoveries: His uncle values video games above all else, and, while in a coma, he is actually transported to another world as a hero! Now, Takafumi not only has to share a room with a literally magical uncle, but also has him trace two decades of history — smartphones, high-speed internet, current anime manga great… and tragic end of the 90s console wars!
The main cast of the anime is:
Takehito Koyasu as Ojisan Jun Fukuyama as Takafumi Mikako Komatsu as Fujimiya Haruka Tomatsu as Goblin Aoi Yūki as Mabel Aki Toyosaki as Alicia
