Anime premieres in Japan on January 7 with Crunchyroll streaming
Kodoani.com – Official website for the television anime of the light novel series Saving 80.000 Gold in Another World for My Retirement (Rōgo ni Sonaete Isekai de 8-Man-Mai no Kinka o Tamemasu) by FUNA revealed a second promotional video on Friday.
The anime premiered on the late night anime “Animazing!!!” with ABC TV and on TV Asahi in Japan on January 7.
Mitsuha is an 18-year-old girl who is often mistaken for a middle school student due to her childish face and small stature. The story begins when she lost her parents and brother at the same time in an accident and became alone in this world.
She failed the college entrance exam due to the shock of losing her family. There are people chasing her parents’ insurance money. She doesn’t know if she should go to college or start working. There are also a lot of expenses to worry about, including living expenses and home maintenance costs.
One day, when she was worried about how to survive, she was given the ability “Jump into the world” by a mysterious being that allows her to travel between “this world” and another. “isekai”! Now that she has this ability, she devises a plan for the future in which she saves 1 billion yen in each world for a total of 2 billion yen (80,000 gold coins)!
Right. This is a plan for a girl with no one to rely on to live a peaceful, stable retirement in the future!

Hiroshi Tamada (Macross Delta episode director) is directing the anime at Felix Film. Akihiko Inari (Chōyū Sekai: Being the Reality) is in charge of the series’ scripts. Yūki Fukuchi (Plunderer) is designing the characters.
FUNA launched the novel series on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in November 2015, and Kodansha published the first novel in print with illustrations by Tōzai in June 2017. Keisuke Motoe debuted. manga adaptation in the web magazine “Suiyōbi no Sirius” in Niconico in June 2017.
