The special story summary begins May 19
Kodoani.com – Fuji TV revealed on Wednesday that the original anime Eikyū Shōnen Eternal Boys will get a new episode titled Eikyū Shōnen Eternal Boys NEXT STAGE in theaters in Japan on June 9. The anime’s official YouTube channel streamed a promotional video:
The special episode that summarizes the story of Eternal Boys will be shown in theaters for two weeks, starting on May 19. The anime will also be rebroadcasting on Tokyo MX and BS11 with two episodes airing each week, starting from April 1st.
The anime premiered on Fuji TV on October 10. The anime pre-screened the first four episodes in Tokyo on September 17. The 24th and final episode is scheduled to air on the 27th. March.
The story revolves around Eikyū Shōnen of Manpuku Geinō Production, a group of men in their 40s. They strive to be idols and overcome barriers such as age and physical condition.
Director migmi is directing the anime at LIDEN FILMS and Kimiko Ueno is overseeing the series’ scripts. The story idea was originally credited to the real-life “Manpuku Geinō Production”, actually LIDEN FILMS, Fuji TV, and Polygon Pictures. Seiko Asai is adapting ma2’s original character designs into an anime.
Ryō Tanaka is directing the sound and Yukari Hashimoto is composing the music. King Records is working on the theme songs and coly is developing a spin-off game.
The manga adaptation began serialization in Kadokawa’s Comic Gene magazine in April 2022, and the Human Academy College of Performing Arts is collaborating on the project.
