Kodoani.com – Square Enix officially announced on Monday that the game Dragon Quest Builders will soon be available on the PC platform via Steam, scheduled for release on February 13. The PC version will be upgraded with the “Terra Incognita” DLC and new crafting features.
Dragon Quest Builders originally launched on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita in Japan in January 2016. The game is set in Alfegard, a unique world revealed in the Dragon Quest series. The story revolves around an alternate scenario where the hero accepts the Dragon Lord’s challenge to rule half of the world. Players will take on the role of a new hero, whose mission is to rebuild this legendary land.
After a successful launch on PS4 and PS Vita in North America and Europe in October 2016, Square Enix expanded Dragon Quest Builders to the Nintendo Switch platform in March 2018. The Switch version was supplemented with a Great Sabercub, which allows players to ride beasts in Free Build mode, which speeds up progress and collects materials from defeated enemies.
Dragon Quest Builders 2, the next version of the series, was officially launched in Japan in December 2018 for both PS4 and Switch. The game was later introduced to North America and Europe in July 2019, and to PC via Steam in December 2019. The PC version was also later available on the Microsoft Store for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X| S in May 2021.
With diversity and creativity in world building, Dragon Quest Builders promises to bring a unique experience to the PC gaming community when it enters the Steam world in February this year.
