Shinichi Ishizuke’s Blue Giant manga is getting an anime adaptation, but the studio has been extremely secretive about the project. The whole picture is laid out below.
The announcement of a Green Giant animated film has increased the number of people who can enjoy the beautiful artwork that is the Green Giant manga. Shinichi Ishizuka created the Green Giant manga series, which revolves around jazz music. Big Comic ran a sequel to the original Green Giant events from September 2016 to April 2020 titled Supreme Green Giant. There are eight tankbons for collected chapters. In May 2020, Big Comic premiered their third series, Blue Giant Explorer. The anime adaptation of NUT is slated to release in Japan in 2023.

The film’s key new visuals were announced in Japan shortly before its premiere. Nothing but the key teasers and images up to this point have done anything but raise our expectations and interest. However, with only two months left until the film is released, the franchise has opted to provide more information. In addition to Dai, the two other main characters of the story are also very important. Dai’s friend, classmate Shunji Tamada, and pianist Yukinori Sawabe in Tokyo. A prominent key visual is included in the trailer and it shows off the trio’s dedication to their music very well.
Knowing they needed a top filmmaker, the franchise put Yuzuru Tachikawa in the director’s seat. Notably, Number 8, who edited the Green Giant manga, wrote the screenplay for the film. Their directing credits also include the Blue Giant Supreme manga, for which they oversaw the European part. Later, the three formed a band and played in various venues to hone their skills. For Dai, who has never competed before and is not properly trained, these two factors make the difference in his ability to play well. Despite the weather, Dai still went to the river to practice, as seen in the preview.
What is the plot?
The following is the plot synopsis for the English adaptation of the licensed Seven Seas Entertainment manga. During high school, Dai’s life in Sendai, Japan was quite ordinary. This city is known for its scorching summers and wet winters. Something is missing in his life with basketball, odd jobs, and doubts about the future. Indeed, music is the culprit. Senior year was coming to an end, and Dai made a promise to himself: “I’m going to be the best jazz player in the world.” But what exactly do you need to excel? Talent? Try? What happened? Or it could be nothing more than a pure love of music and an unwillingness to admit defeat.
Blue Giant Anime: Release Date
TOHO Animation has confirmed the distribution of the film. Therefore, it will soon be shown worldwide after its debut in Japan. I was relieved to hear that such a great core team is working on it and I look forward to hearing more about the cast in the near future. TOHO Animation has released a new trailer for their next musical film The Green Giant, which will premiere in Japan on February 17, 2023.
