Wolfsbane returned as the season’s animation studio, but is currently collaborating with animation studio Seven.

Hip-hop duo Hilcrhyme will return to perform the second season ending theme song “Koigokoro” (Heart in Love), after performing the ending theme song for the first season. Member Hilcrhyme TOC will also be voicing the anime in the new season.
The franchise is also having a game on the G123 platform titled Peter Grill to Kenja no Jikan Teisō no Moribito (Peter Grill and the Philosopher’s Time: Protector of Virtue). The RPG will be free to play but will have an optional in-game purchase.
The first season of the anime premiered in July 2020.

Hiyama launched the series in Manga Action in July 2017. Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the manga and released the seventh volume on February 8.
