4 years older Nanoha revealed for Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha EXCEEDS manga in 2025
Kodoani.com – Production team of the series Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha just announced a brand new anime project titled Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha EXCEEDS Gun Blaze Vengeance will launch in 2025, marking the brand's 20th anniversary. Along with that, a new original manga titled Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha EXCEEDS will also be released on the platform Suiyōbi no Sirius (Wednesday Sirius) by Kodansha.
The manga's introduction image reveals the story of Nanoha Takamachi, a 13-year-old girl who continues her journey to help people with the power of a magician. Masaki Tsuzukithe series' creator and head writer, will be in charge of drafting plot ideas, while Shuichi Kawakamian artist who has participated in illustrating projects related to Nanoha, will be responsible for drawing the illustrations.
This 20th anniversary project also includes Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha 20th Anniversary Selectionre-edited versions of the films The MOVIE 1st (2010) et The Movie 2nd A’s (2012), which began airing in October. The two films are remakes of the original anime released in 2004 and 2005, respectively, reliving key moments in Nanoha's journey.
Movie series Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha was born in 2004 from the combination of screenwriter Masaki Tsuzuki and director Akiyuki Simboand the studio Seven Arcs. Initially, this was a spin-off of the series Triangle Heartbut quickly developed into an independent franchise with the launch of a 13-episode anime television series. After that, the franchise continued to expand with multiple anime seasons, including Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha A’s (2005), StrikerS (2007), ViVid (2015), and supplements ViVid Strike! (2016). Also, two movies Reflection (2017) et Detonation (2018) took the story to new heights.
Not limited to anime, this brand also creates many spin-off products such as manga, novels, and drama CDs. Discotek Media recently released the films Reflection and Detonation on Blu-ray in 2023, making the world of Nanoha more accessible to global audiences.
