Kodoani.com – A special event this past Sunday announced that the sequel to the television anime adaptation of the manga “Mashle: Magic and Muscles” by Hajime Kōmoto was given the green light. At the event, a teaser video for the sequel was also released.
The anime's first season premiered in Japan in April 2023. Crunchyroll streamed the anime as it aired, and also released an English dub. The second season is expected to premiere on January 6.
This anime project is listed as a “complete” anime adaptation.
Both Viz Media's Shonen Jump service and Shueisha's MANGA Plus service publish manga digitally in English. Viz Media also released the manga in print. Shueisha describes the manga as follows:
“This is a magical world where magic is used for everything. But deep in the forest there is a young man who spends his time exercising. He cannot use magic but enjoys a normal life.” rest with his father. However, one day, his life is in danger! Will his muscular body protect him from the magic users who are hunting him? Power will crush magic when this magical fantasy story begins!”
The series debuted in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in Japan in January 2020 and ended last July. Shueisha published the manga's 18th and final volume, along with a fanbook, on October 4.
