Attack on Titan Final Season has revealed the Blu-ray/DVD cover illustration for Volume 5, which will cover the final two parts of the anime adaptation. The release includes a box cover with illustrations drawn by Yuichiro Hayashi, who directed The Final Season at MAPPA studio, a digital package by Tomohiro Kishi, character designer, a full-color booklet, anthology storyboards for certain scenes and an uncredited version of the theme song video.
Theme song, “Nisennen… Moshiku wa… Nimannen Go no Kimi e…” is performed by Linked Horizon, featuring Yui Ishikawa and Yuki Kaji. Linked Horizon returns for the final season of the anime with two songs: the second is “Saigo no Kyojin”, the opening used in the episodic cut of the final season, along with “Itterashai” by Ai Higuchi .
Both the Blu-ray and DVD releases are priced at 16,500 yen (about $110 USD) and will go on sale on March 20, 2024. The full set can be viewed below:
The Attack on Titan anime ended its 10-year run earlier this month with an 85-minute special episode. It is adapted from the manga of the same name by Hajime Isayama, serialized in Bessatsu Shonen Magazine from 2009 to 2021. The manga ended in April 2021 after 139 chapters, compiled into 34 volumes. The final, 34th volume debuted in June 2021. The manga was adapted into an anime by WIT Studio in 2013. Season 2 debuted in 2017, followed by a third season divided into two parts. The first season aired in the summer of 2018, while the second season began in April 2019. Studio MAPPA took over the franchise rights for the 4th season, titled Attack on Titan Final Season. The series began airing in December 2020 and has a total of 16 episodes. After finishing airing in March 2021, Season 2 was announced. Attack on Titan The Final Season Part 2 begins in January 2022. It will be followed by Attack on Titan The Final Season: The Final Chapters specials in March and November 2023, which completely adapt the main story.
