The teaser image was revealed on the occasion of the 1st anniversary of the TV anime’s launch
Kodoani.com – “Bocchi the Rock! -Live-” is a livestream program held in memory of Bocchi the Rock, on the one-year anniversary of the anime’s release. The show has announced that this project will actually consist of two films. The first season is expected to premiere next spring, as previously announced, while the second season will open next summer. The anime also revealed additional teasers:
Anime adaptation of the four-panel manga “Bocchi the Rock!”, about Hitori “Bocchi-chan” (“Lonely”) Gotō, a lonely high school girl whose heart lies in her guitar. She does nothing every day but strum the guitar by herself at home. However, one day, she happened to meet Nijika Ijichi, who was looking for a guitarist for her group called “Kessoku Band”.

Keiichirō Saitō directs the television anime at CloverWorks, with Erika Yoshida supervising and writing the series. Kerorira designed the characters.
The anime premiered on Tokyo MX, BS11, Gunma TV and Tochigi TV on October 9, and was also shown on MRT Miyazaki Broadcasting, MBS, RKB Mainichi Broadcasting and AT-X.
Singer-songwriter Ai Higuchi wrote the lyrics and Otoha, a member of the band 48foureight, composed the music for the opening theme song titled “Seishun Complex” (Youth Complex). Maguro Taniguchi, singer and guitarist of the band KANA-BOON, wrote and composed the ending theme song “Distortion!!”.
The manga was launched by Hamaji in Houbunsha’s Manga Time Kirara Max magazine in December 2017 and is still ongoing.
