Kodoani.com – The Colors Within (Kimi no Iro), the director's latest animated film Naoko Yamada and studio Science SARUwill have its New York premiere on January 21 at the time 7:00pm EST in Japan Society. After the screening, director Yamada will participate in a special introduction and Q&A session. In addition, she also held an autograph session on the day January 24 at the time 6:30pm EST at the bookstore Kinokuniya in New York.
The film is scheduled to hit theaters in the US on the same day January 24with Japanese dubbed versions with English subtitles and an English dub. Before that, The Colors Within debuted in Japan on August 30.
Plot revolve around Totsukoa high school girl with the special ability to see “colors” that represent people's emotions. She always tries to keep peace with her friends and family, even though she has to deal with complicated emotions. At an antique bookstore, Totsuko meets a charming woman with brilliant “colors” and a music-loving boy who is trying to form a band. The story follows them, three sensitive souls, as they explore music and life together.
