A cosplayer who looks like he stepped out of the live action movie Alice in Borderland with their terrifyingly accurate Chishiya cosplay.
Fans are really enjoying this fan’s Alice in Borderland Chishiya cosplay that looks like it stepped out of the live adaptation.
Aki春 uploaded a series of photos on their Facebook page, showcasing their impressive cosplay as the clever Chishiya from the Alice in Borderland live-action series. Taking advantage of what they had available, Aki春 used a black-and-gold wig that Haikyuu!! cosplayers used for Kenma Kozume to use for Chishiya because these two characters have the same pudding hair. With his sly expression, the cosplayer is Chishiya’s hateful image.
Chishiya cosplay makes Alice fans in Borderland look twice
Aki春’s videos and photos have been rampant on Tiktok, making many people want to know who the cosplayer is. Convinced that it was Nijiro Murakami, who portrayed the character in the Netflix series, many expressed shock upon realizing it was not the actor at all. One commenter even wrote, “biblically correct chishiya.” Some people noted that Kenma’s hair was perfect for the occasion, and another TikTok user offered some helpful advice: “if you have kenma cosplay then you have chishiya cosplay.”
First introduced in Episode 2 of Alice in Borderland’s first season, Chishiya exudes a cold, indifferent expression towards him. While the others were running around in frenzied panic, viewers could see Chishiya walking around with her hands in her pockets, calmly observing her surroundings. Nothing confused him. He has the special ability to know how to read people and what interests them. With her incredible intelligence and wit, Chishiya is a master of the Diamonds game.
Based on Haro Aso’s Alice in Borderland horror manga series, Part 1 of the live-action adaptation was released in December 2020, starring Kento Yamazaki as protagonist Ryōhei Arisu, Tao Tsuchiya as protagonist Yuzuha Usagi and Nijiro Murakami as Chishiya. Set in an alternate version of Tokyo, Season 1 follows Arisu and his friends, who suddenly find themselves unwilling to participate in a series of death games that require them to battle each other and with themselves. After surviving Season 1 and switching to face-up card games, Arisu and the rest of the players now have to take on the inhabitants of Borderland – all of whom know exactly how to win the game because they are who created them in the first place. If Arisu wins, he will be able to find out what Borderland is and why they are here. Season 2 premiered in December 2022 and set the record for the most hours watched in a week for a non-English drama in its opening weekend of 61,190,000 hours.
Seasons 1 and 2 of Alice in Borderland are available to stream on Netflix.
