A new Genshin Impact leak has revealed that the image of Luu Van Ta Phong Chan Quan will appear in the cutscene of the upcoming version 3.4.
A Genshin Impact leak has revealed the model in human form of Luu Van Ta Phong Chan Quan, who is currently an NPC appearing in many Liyue-related quests. Although the recent Magic God Quests revolved around the new Sumeru area and its Grass God, it looks like the Travelers will return to Liyue in upcoming updates.
The livestream event for the Genshin Impact 3.4 update has officially announced the New Year of the Lighthouse, an annual event to celebrate the Lunar New Year. Every area in the game is based on a real-life location and Liyue is inspired by Chinese culture, which is the main reason why the festival is always held in this location.
A new post on the Reddit sub Genshin Impact Leaks has revealed the human form of a fairy known as Luu Van Ta Phong Chan Quan, which previously only appeared in the form of a white crane. The Sage are a group of divine beasts and powerful creatures that act as Liyue’s main guardians, and they are led by the Rock God Morax. The image matches the previously leaked description of Luu Van Ta Phong Chan Quan, which claims that she will have a model of the tall girl wearing glasses. Reliable leakers have also revealed that the human form of Luu Van Ta Phong Chan Quan may appear in one of the cutscenes of the New Year’s Lighthouse.
Luu Van Ta Phong Chan Quan is one of Morax’s oldest allies and they fought together in the infamous Magic God War. Many fans in the comments are hoping that HoYoverse can put her on the playable list. This should come as no surprise given that there are already two playable fairies in the game, Yan Chen Zhongli and Hang Ma Dai Thanh Xiao.

Some fans have pointed out that the model of Luu Van Ta Phong Chan Quan did not appear in the recent Genshin Impact leaks revealing 10 upcoming playable characters, which could indicate that she will remain the an NPC. Most of these characters will apparently be tied to a new main area called Fontaine, which means players will have to wait for update 4.0 for more information on their kit.
Fontaine is expected to be the fifth major area to arrive for Genshin Impact, and it will be located west of Liyue and north of Sumeru’s desert. Some reliable leakers like hxg_diluc have claimed that some of the leaked characters are actually from Mondstadt. This means the game’s first region could receive a much-needed expansion in the coming months.
