A Genshin Impact player shared an interesting fan-made concept of one of the most mysterious characters in the saga to date named Dainsleif. This unique character appears in several missions and is expected to be one of the most important characters in the late game storyline.
Genshin Impact confirmed that Dainsleif will eventually become part of the roster in a teaser video released in September 2020. However, it is highly unlikely that Dain will ever become a playable character in the series. The current part revolves around the new Sumeru area.
A new post on Genshin Impact’s official Reddit sub shows the possibility of Dainsleif appearing after attaining the god in Teyvat. Reddit user u/CWhardKnight shared an impressive concept that shows this mysterious character at the height of his power. The fan creation was well received by the community as the post reached over 2k upvotes with many players claiming they would prefer this version of Dain on their roster. He is known as the former captain of the Royal Guard of Khaenri’ah, the region very famous for rebelling against the Teyvat gods.
Khaenri’ah was destroyed in the Great Flood 500 years ago, leading to the creation of the Abyss Congregation, one of the main opposing factions in Genshin Impact along with the Fatui organization. The members of the Congregation are often mysterious yet terrifying monsters with elemental powers. During a Magic God quest, Lumine and Aether reveal that Dainsleif is fighting against the Abyss despite coming from Khaenri’ah, which means he could become a villain in the future.

With the unexpected appearance of the Wanderer, some fans are hoping that HoYoverse might add Dainsleif to the roster much sooner than expected. Similar to Dain, the Wanderer, formerly known as Scaramouche, also plays an important role in Genshin Impact’s plot and has led many players to believe that he is one of the late game bosses.
However, his involvement in the ongoing Sumeru storyline will clearly put Balladeer’s popularity in a positive direction. After receiving his own weekly boss scene in update 3.2, the official livestream for Genshin Impact version 3.3 has confirmed that the Wanderer will be joining the game in a few days. He is scheduled for the first banner cycle, accompanied by Arataki Itto as well as a new four-star character, Faruzan.
