The story “Love, revenge, pleasure” will be adapted into live action this year
Kodoani.com – This year’s 20th issue of Kodansha’s Weekly Young Magazine revealed on April 17 that the manga Kenshiro ni Yoroshiku (Give My Regards to Kenshirō) by Jasmine Gyuh will continue in issues 21 and 22 combined on April 24.
The manga launched in Weekly Young Magazine in March 2020, but went on hiatus in September 2022. Kodansha published the compiled sixth volume in June 2022.
The story “love, revenge, and comfort” centers on a boy who vows to take revenge on the yakuza. He studied the art of “killer fist” with all his might, and became an adult. But this man of martial arts genius realized that his techniques really couldn’t be used to kill anyone.
The manga is adapting a movie that will air on DMM TV later this year. Bakarhythm is writing the program.
Gyuh launched the Back Street Girls manga in Weekly Young Magazine in March 2015 and ended the series in September 2018. Kodansha released the 12th and final compiled volume in January 2019.
The manga inspired a 10-episode anime series titled Back Street Girls: Gokudols that premiered in Japan in July 2018. Netflix began streaming the anime in December 2018. A live series The -action adaptation of the manga debuted in Japan in February 2019.
