The Aggressive Retsuko team launched a series about host club employees in April
Kodoani.com – Anime adaptation of the four-panel manga series Everyday Host by Nimo Gotō has been officially announced and is expected to be released in April 2024.
This is a humorous story about Sekiguchi, a former businessman who had to become a host at “Club One” after facing health problems. At his new workplace, he meets unique colleagues, from a host with more than two decades of experience, a former idol to a rude person with a passion for social networking games. Each character, with a different personality, creates a vivid picture of daily life, both humorous and humane.
The anime will be directed and written by Rarecho, the person behind famous works like Aggressive Retsuko. Studio Fanworks, which is familiar with the short anime genre, will be the production site. The quality voice cast includes Hiro Shimono, Taku Yashiro, Tasuku Hatanaka and Nobuhiko Okamoto, promising to deliver captivating performances, helping to portray the characters' personalities vividly and honestly.
Everyday Host's original manga first appeared in July 2020 on platforms such as Nico Nico and Pixiv Comics, quickly attracting attention for its concise yet emotional storytelling style. With the adaptation into anime, the work will open up opportunities to reach a larger audience, while maintaining its inherent gentle and close spirit.
Not only is it a story about work or different aspects of life, Everyday Host also reminds us of the meaning of finding your place in life. The anime is expected to bring laughter, profound moments and special empathy to viewers when it officially airs next spring.
