1 new scene to show “another perspective” on the match between Karasuno High and Nekoma High
Kodoani.com – The ninth issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine, released on Monday, revealed that Haruichi Furudate will write a new one-shot for the manga Haikyu!! which Shueisha will publish in issue #10 on February 5. This new 16-page chapter will have color pages and will commemorate the film Gekijōban Haikyu!! Gomi Suteba no Kessen. The manga chapter will bring “another perspective” on the confrontation between Karasuno High and Nekoma High.
Furudate launches Haikyuu!! manga in 2011 and ended in July 2020. Shueisha published the manga’s 45th and final volume in November 2020.
Production IG’s anime adaptation of the manga has been premiering since April 2014. The anime’s second season premiered in October 2015 and the third season in October 2016. The first half of the fourth season, “Haikyu! ! To The Top,” began in January 2020, and episode 13 aired in April 2020. The second half, consisting of episodes 14 to 25, was first scheduled to air in July 2020, but was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The second half was finally shown in October 2020.
Gekijoban Haikyu!! Gomi Suteba no Kessen (Haikyu!! the Movie: Decisive Battle at the Garbage Dump), the first film in the project’s two parts, will be released in Japan on February 16. Audiences watch the film in theaters in Japan will be given a “volume 33.5” book limited to 2 million people. The book will contain a new 16-page manga by author Haruichi Furudate, character illustrations, plot for chapter 322, and a Q&A with Furudate.
Manga has also served as the basis for various creations such as stage plays, clay animation short films, animated compilations, and several video animation projects.
