Kodoani.com – The official Twitter of Houbunsha’s Weekly Manga Times announced today that an anime adaptation of the manga Tsuma, Shogakusei ni Naru (If My Wife Become An Elementary School Student.) is currently in progress. It is the second adaptation of the manga following the live-action film in 2022.
The manga was serialized in the magazine from 2018 to 2022, and its final 14th tankobon volume was released in Japan today, March 16. The story follows Keisuke Niijima, who lost his beloved wife, Takae, ten years ago and their daughter, Mai. They have been in a desperate situation since Takae’s death. Then one evening, an elementary school girl visits Niijima’s family, claiming to be Takae’s reincarnation. At first, they thought it was a joke, but the girl continued to give them information that only her family knew. Keisuke and Mai recognize her as Takae, and the three begin to act together as “family.
