Kodoani.com – Thanks to a successful crowdfunding campaign backed by loyal fans, Dropkick on My Devil! will be back with a special episode this winter. And just based on the image, Kodoani gets some Fist of the North Star vibes.
Titled Dropkick on My Devil!! -End of Century Edition-, a one-episode project being worked on to support Takamori, a town located in the Aso district of Kumamoto Prefecture. The story begins after aliens destroy Jinbocho, where the main series takes place. Following the stars, Jashin-chan heads south to find Yurine in Takamori.
The crowdfunding project set a record, raising 115 million yen (387% of the target). This is by far the highest amount raised for anime production in Japan’s crowdfunding history. The announcement was made at Jashin-chan Fes today, a large-scale online/in-person gathering for fans of Yukiwo’s manga manga and its anime adaptation.
Dropkick on My Devil!! -End of Century Edition- will be produced in Makaria and will air this winter on BS Nippon TV.
