The Mobile Suit GTA brand is no stranger to exciting collaborations and stylish merchandise. The latest examples of these include jewelry based on several overlooked mobile suit units in the franchise.
Two rings and necklaces are being produced in honor of Mobile Suit Zeta GTA, the first sequel to the original. Based on the main Mobile Suit from the series, the jewelry is cast in precious metals and is sure to sparkle in the light. The merchandise arrives as the series reaches a major milestone — although the items themselves will cost fans a bit more than the regular Gunpla set.

Latest gundam jewelry collection celebrates Zeta gundam
Produced by AEUG and Anaheim Electronics, the latest gundam jewelry collection is based on the anime series Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam. Cast in 925 sterling silver is the Zeta GTA ring, which recreates the head of the mobile suit into a wearable ring. Luxurious and eye-catching, the product is also coated with a smoked mirror, adding charm. Likewise, there is also a necklace based on the “Waverider” flight. This alternate mode is what the ZetaGundam can transform into, allowing it to take off at great speeds and even fly in space. The ring is priced at a hefty 27,500 yen (a little over $175 USD), while the necklace retails for a slightly cheaper price of 22,000 yen (about $140 USD).
There's also the gold Hyaku Shiki ring, based on the flashy yellow mobile suit piloted by Quattro Bajeena. Quattro is actually none other than Char Aznable, the anonymous antagonist of the anime's first episode. Similarly, the Hyaku Shiki necklace is also plated with gold, depicting the flying machine in a ready position with a blaster in hand. The latter costs 18,700 yen (~US$120), while the Hyaku Shiki ring is 29,700 yen (~US$190). Both can be purchased from retailers such as Strict-G and JAM HOME MADE – stores that sell Mobile Suit GTA branded items and that ship internationally through the Buyee service. Fans wearing these items are sure to look beautiful, with their reflection making others see the tears of time.

The Gundunda franchise continues to see many new products released
Since the success of the original Mobile Suit anime and the accompanying plastic Gunpla model set, the series has become one of the biggest pop culture franchises in Japan. Kits and countless action figures are just some of the more obvious connections to the anime and manga, with many other items also released based on both mobile suits and their pilots. The most famous characters from the classic era in the history of the series remain Amuro Ray and his rival, Char Aznable, which later explains the use of Hyaku Shiki in the new jewelry collection.
Mobile Suit ZetaGundam is somewhat overlooked by some compared to its predecessor and what came before it. This is one reason why today there are more products being made for the original Gundunda range. At the same time, many fans consider Zeta Gunde to be one of, if not the best Gun anime ever, then at least when it comes to the Universal Century timeline. The series is now 39 years old, and the entire series will turn 45 in 2024. As a result, there were a number of new products and model sets announced in celebration, while the recent Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Freedom (set during the Space Age) is a timeline that went on to become the highest-grossing film in the franchise.
