The first train will run on the tracks in spring 2025

The first train bore the name “Setouchi Blue”inspired by the Setouchi Sea region, will be covered in bright blue stickers with the image of the Straw Hat Pirates. This is the opening step in the “Grand Rail” project, an interesting play on words based on the “Grand Line” – the legendary journey in the One Piece world.
Not only the exterior, the interior of each train will be specially designed, bearing typical marks from the series. The image of the Straw Hats, the pirate flag symbol, and adventurous details will surely turn a trip on the Shinkansen into an exciting trip.
