Kodoani.com – This year's July issue of the magazine Comic Zenon of Coamix revealed on Friday that the manga Record of Ragnarok (Shuumatsu No Valkyrie) by Shinya Umemura, Ajichika and Takumi Fukui will have a new spinoff manga titled “Shuumatsu no Valkyrie Kin-Den: Kamigami no Apocalypse”(Record of Ragnarok Forbidden Legend: Apocalypse of The Gods) in the August issue due out on June 25. Ippei Okamoto is drawing the manga, with story by Otsuhiko Naruse. This manga will be the first in the series from the perspective of the gods.
The first season of the anime television series adapted from the original manga debuted on Netflix in June 2021. Record of Ragnarok II — the anime's second season — premiered on Netflix in January 2023. The anime's second season (episodes 11-15) will premiere on Netflix on July 12.
Viz Media is releasing the main manga in English and describes the story as follows:
“Every millennium, the gods gather to decide whether humanity is worthy of continued existence or should be destroyed! When the verdict is in destruction, the final battle between the gods and mortal heroes will decide the survival or extinction of humanity—a battle known as Ragnarok!”
Manga Shūmatsu no Walküre appeared in the magazine Comic Zenon in November 2017. Umemura wrote the story, while Ajichika drew the art. Fukui is credited as the composer.
Keita Iizuka launches spinoff manga Shūmatsu no Walküre Kitan: Jack the Ripper no Jikenbo (Record of Ragnarok Mystery – The Case Files of Jack the Ripper) in the magazine Comic Zenon in October 2022.
Takeo Ono drew a spin-off manga titled Ryo Fu Hō Sen's Death. The manga debuted on Comic Zenon in October 2019 and concluding with the seventh volume in November 2022. Coamix and Imagineer's MangaHot app is publishing the manga in English under the title The Legend of Lu Bu.
