The Shinkalion: Change The World anime series revealed its trailer and two key images on Thursday. The main cast has also been revealed for the film which is scheduled to premiere in April 2024. It will be the latest entry from the Shinkansen Henkei Robo Shinkalion series which was originally announced in December 2023 .

Production IG (Haikyuu!!, Ghost in the Shell) and Signal.MD (Recovery of an MMO Junkie, Platinum End) are animating the series with Shogakukan Music & Digital Entertainment (SMDE) providing the animation CG. Kenichiro Komaya will direct the series, with Eiji Umehara writing the series and Daisuke Ishibashi assisting. Shiori Asaka and Niina Morita designed the characters while Yugo Kanno composed the music.

Robotic visionThe Shinkansen Henkei Robo Shinkalion franchise is made by Japanese toy company Takara Tomy in conjunction with the Japan Railways Corporation. Its first toy line was released in March 2015 and is a spin-off of the Plarail model train line.
The first anime adaptation of the series was produced by studio OLM with Takahiro Ikezoe as director. Kento Shimoyama wrote the anime’s script and Toshiyuki Watanabe composed the music. The anime aired for 76 episodes on the JNN network in Japan from January 2018 to June 2019. It later launched an anime film titled Shinkansen Henkei Robo Shinkalion the Movie: The Marvelous Fast ALFA-X That Comes From the Future was released in December 2019; and another anime series titled Shinkansen Henkei Robo Shinkalion Z aired 46 episodes from April 2021 to March 2022.
An arcade game titled Shinkansen Henkei Robo Shinkalion: Get the Card! Super Evolution Battle was developed and published by Takara-Tomy ARTS and released in 2018.
