Kodoani.com – The sixth issue of Weekly Shōnen Champion magazine from publisher Akita revealed on Thursday that the spinoff manga street by Osamu Nishi, in the series Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kunwill conclude with an epilogue in the seventh issue released on January 18. The spin-off is titled “Mairimashita! Iruma-kun: Kalego Gaiden” (Kalego Side Story) and is expected to last five chapters.
The story revolves around the time when Kalego was a student at the demon school. The magazine describes the story as follows:
“Kalego, when he was young, overheard an unsuccessful opera performance… leading him to investigate the public order of the demon world in school.”
The series began being announced as a series in Weekly Shōnen Champion on December 7.
Previously, Nishi created a spin-off manga called “Kalego Gaiden,” consisting of two chapters, in 2020. In addition, “Mairimashita! Iruma-kun if,” a Mafia spin-off episode created by Hiroja currently, was launched in Akita Shoten’s Bessatsu Shōnen Champion magazine on September 12.
Nishi introduced the manga “Mairimashita! Iruma-kun” in Akita Shoten’s Weekly Shōnen Champion magazine in March 2017.
The story of “Mairimashita! Iruma-kun” follows Iruma, a kind-hearted 14-year-old boy who was sold to the devil by his parents for personal gain. However, the demon he was sold to had no sons, so he loved Iruma and sent him to demon school.
The manga was adapted into an anime, which premiered in October 2019, with a total of 23 episodes. Crunchyroll has been streaming the anime since it aired in Japan, and gave it the English title “Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun.” The English dub also aired simultaneously.
The anime’s sequel aired in April 2021, and Crunchyroll continued to stream the English dub as it aired. The anime’s third season premiered in October 2022, and Crunchyroll continues to stream the English dub.
