Kodoani.com – Kadokawa confirmed that the second volume of the spin-off manga Synduality: Ellie by Hiroshi Mishima will be the final volume, scheduled to premiere on January 28.
The manga's story focuses on the character Ellie, who has feelings for her childhood friend Kanata. However, Kanata is always surrounded by many girls and mysterious entities, making Ellie frustrated.
Synduality: Ellie was launched by Mishima in Monthly Comic Alive magazine in July 2023 and has received special attention from fans. In addition to the manga version, Synduality was also developed into a novel under Kadokawa's MF Bunko J imprint, as well as a spin-off novel titled Synduality: Kaleido, serialized in Monthly Hobby Japan at the same time.
Besides, Bandai Namco Entertainment's Synduality Echo of Ada game will officially launch on January 24, 2025 (in Japan, January 23) for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC platforms. The game is set in the year 2222, when humans must survive in “Amasia” – an underground city built to deal with deformed creatures that appeared after the poisonous rain of Tears of the New Moon. In this harsh environment, they discover Magus, an Artificial Intelligence, opening a mysterious story about the connection between humanity and AI.
Bandai Namco's Synduality project also includes a television anime. The first season of the anime premieres in July 2023, while the second season will air from January 8, 2024 on many Japanese television channels. Disney+ will stream the season exclusively in Japan from January 9, and Hulu will stream it in the US. The anime takes place in the year 2242, 20 years before the game, adding depth to the Synduality universe.
