Studio Ghibli fans looking for their next home decor item need look no further. The studio's official online store once again offers a beautiful antique mirror inspired by Ghibli's classic coming-of-age film, Kiki's Delivery Service.
Donguri Sora, which offers hundreds of novelty and lifestyle products based on Ghibli's famous works, has just re-released the Kiki-themed “Window of Thought” Mirror — a gorgeous piece produced by the original store that pays tribute to the iconic fantasy film. Measuring approximately 8.2 inches tall and 5.5 inches wide, the mirror features a colorful stained glass design set inside a faux wood frame. A cute figure of Jiji, Kiki's loyal cat friend, sits on the “windowsill” as he looks at his reflection. Observant fans will also notice that one of the items next to him is a cat-themed coffee cup that is identical to the one worn by Kiki's friend in the film, Osono. At the time of writing, Donguri Sora is selling the mirror for 5,940 yen (about $36.92).

Kiki's Delivery Service is one of several Ghibli-produced fantasy films that revolve around wizards, witches, and magic. Based on the children's novel of the same name by Eiko Kadono, the film follows 13-year-old Kiki as she embarks on a year-long journey to adulthood. With her familiar companion Jiji, Kiki leaves home on her mother's broomstick and eventually lands in a bustling coastal town called Koriko. After meeting a friendly bakery owner named Osono, Kiki settles in the town and starts her own business as a means of supporting herself. Throughout the film, Kiki is forced to deal with ungrateful customers, stormy nights, and other frustrating situations. However, she eventually learns to be resourceful and resilient in the face of these hardships. A favorite among Hayao Miyazaki fans, the film won various awards, including the Mainchi Film Award for Best Animated Feature in 1990.
Kiki's delivery service remains a beloved icon of Studio Ghibli after more than 30 years
Due to its enduring popularity, Kiki's Delivery Service is featured prominently in collections of new and used goods on Donguri Sora. In May and early June, Ghibli launched several new Kiki-themed seasonal items designed to help fans stay cool (and hydrated) on their summer travels — from stainless steel water bottle to faux leather passport holder. More recently, Donguri Sora connected fans with adorable Hawaiian-themed apparel honoring Koriko City. Instead of depicting a single area, the design is a combination of various Koriko regions combined with memorable character scenes. This pattern has also been used for other products, including Donguri Sora's “Memories of Koriko” pocket notebook.
