The Jujutsu Kaisen manga ended in September 2024, after completing the battle against Sukuna. The King of Curses, Ryomen Sukuna, is the main antagonist of the series and he died thanks to the collective efforts of all the spellcasters.
As the long battle against Sukuna comes to an end, each spellcaster strives to contribute to reforming the world of Jujutsu. The endless war against curses will never end, but with the Jujutsu world providing better education for future necromancers, future casualties can be minimized.
However, among the spellcasters, there was one who could not participate in the raid against Sukuna. That's Panda, he lost two cores and his entire body after the fight with Kashimo. Just as Kashimo was about to blow Panda's head off, Hakari saved him at that moment, but Panda couldn't fight anymore.
Later, Panda appeared briefly before the battle of the strongest people to cheer for Gojo. The Jujutsu Kaisen ending from episode 30 reveals the panda's tragic fate, even though he survived the longest compared to his counterparts.
Panda's ending is set in the year 2080
Although Panda is the only character left alive in the future, his fate is too tragic. He lost his independent control function after the magical terror incident in November 2018. In October 2035, he was completely deactivated and registered in the Gojo family archives. He was given away as a special cursed object and his possession was given to Yuta Okkotsu. Yuta took over the Gojo clan as interim head after his sensei's death.
In the year 2080, Yuta's grandchildren went to the warehouse to meet Panda. They say that the objects in the room are Yuta's treasures, including Panda. Even though Panda has lost all functionality, it still moves from time to time. It was still conscious, and even thought that Yuta's grandchildren were really noisy.
Despite being the longest survivor among the JJK characters, Panda met the worst fate of having a lonely life. All his friends grew old and died, while Panda was stored away like an object. Time seemed to stop for Panda and he was always in a small body that looked like a plush toy.
How can Panda survive for so long?
In fact, Panda is a cursed zombie created by principal Masamichi Yaga. Masamichi Yaga is the only known character who can create cursed undead that can produce their own cursed energy.
He created Panda, who was born sentient and possessed three cores. Each of his cores possesses unique characteristics, allowing him to switch between them and change his physical form at will. Even among the cursed undead, Panda is unique.
He was able to survive this long because he did not have the body of a mortal. If Yaga had lived, perhaps he could have helped Panda regain his former strength after his battle with Kashimo. Sadly, Panda completely lost his functions and became immobile while keeping his consciousness intact. He can continue to survive like this for decades or even centuries.
