Jujutsu Kaisen introduced the rather interesting concept of the “Big Three Families” in the story. As the name suggests, these families are some of the most prominent in Japan and hold high positions in the Jujutsu fraternity. Usually, the three clans of Jujutsu Kaisen hold quite a bit of power, and also political influence. Some of the most powerful mages in the JJK world come from these three great clans.
During the broadcast of JJK, the three major families had changes and the fate of some of them was truly shocking to all fans.
The fate of the Zenin family
The family that met the worst fate in JJK was the Zenin family. They were completely destroyed and it was done by a single person, namely Zenin Maki. Maki has always been one of the strongest characters at the end of the series and at some point.
Initially, she wanted to use this power of hers to change her family's way of life, but she realized that the system she was trying to change was too corrupt. Maki decided to cut off all ties with this clan, starting a massacre, especially after awakening her true power.
When Maki fully awakened, she decided to destroy the entire clan and free herself from all curses. Maki was successful in this because her strength was so overwhelming that no one dared to challenge her. Maki reaches the same level as Toji, possibly even surpassing him.
In the middle of the story, this family no longer exists, but Megumi is also a person of Zenin blood. At the end of the story, Maki has two grandchildren, both of whom have the blood of the Zenin family.
The fate of the Kamo family
The Gojo clan and the Kamo clan don't have too much information, because the author never really explains them in detail in the story. What fans know now is that they have quite a bit of influence in Japan and this influence has been used by some individuals for their own gain.
At the beginning of the series, Kamo Noritoshi was revealed as the family's successor, and he is still working to take on this responsibility. However, things didn't go that way when Noritoshi was removed as heir around the middle of the story.
At this time, his importance began to fade. He helped Yuji gain control over blood manipulation, but other than that, his contributions to Shinjuku Showdown were completely non-existent. In the end, he took his family abroad, which essentially marked the end of the Kamo family heir.
Kenjaku was the last known leader of the Kamo clan and he held his position until his death. But with Yuta beheading him, Kenjaku was also eliminated, so the Kamo family was completely destroyed by the end of JJK.
The fate of the Gojo family
Much of the Gojo clan's power, as well as their political power, stems from the fact that Satoru is the strongest modern magician and the only one equivalent to Sukuna. This family gained quite a bit of power thanks to him. But Gojo died in the Shinjuku Showdown arc. Because of this, the Gojo family has lost a significant part of its power and is also at risk of collapsing.
Logically, that's exactly what should have happened. However, it was revealed that in 2035, the Gojo family took a rather interesting direction. At some point, Yuta, Gojo's protégé, became the interim head of the Gojo family. This may be due to the blood relationship he shares with Gojo and the fact that he is Gojo's closest subordinate.
The Gojo clan still exists around the year 2035. In fact, even in 2080, the clan's base is still seen completely intact. This means that out of the three major clans, the Gojo clan is the only one left, with Yuta as the leader. Since Yuta is still alive, it is very likely that he still runs the Gojo clan, despite previously only being the acting head. After Yuta dies, what will happen to this clan is unknown, and this is largely because fans do not know who Yuta's children are.
