A baby goat in Pakistan has set a world record with an incredible 50cm long and growing ears.
Simba – the name of the baby goat with shaggy fur has attracted thousands of followers on YouTube and other channels since it was born in Karachi, Pakistan on June 4.
Simba’s breeder, Mohammad Hassan Narejo, has sent Simba’s details to the Guinness Book of Records Association, although he is unsure if his goat will be recognized. He is still waiting for an answer.
When Simba was born, its ears were 19 inches (48cm) long. They have grown by three inches in just over a month and show no sign of stopping. “I have a harness and a special velvet bag to hold his ears, so he can work comfortably without getting stuck in his ears,” Narejo says.
Currently Mr. Narejo is working in an air traffic control department of Karachi Airport, Pakistan but he also has another passion which is goat farming, and he has great plans to nurture and grow. great for Simba.
“I’m planning to preserve Simba’s semen for artificial insemination so that at some point it’s no longer alive and Simba’s lineage can continue to grow,” Narejo said.
Normally he would bottle-feed Simba three times a day and take other steps to ensure her health – Narejo even gave Simba a black thread around his throat to ward off illness.
