Summary of movie content
The film revolves around a 330-year-old fireworks factory that is about to be forcibly relocated, with the coming-of-age stories of young people living around it.
Keitaro Tatewaki locked himself in a fireworks factory for four years to complete the legendary work “Shuhari,” in place of his absent father. Meanwhile, Kaoru ShikimoriKeitarō's childhood friend, left his hometown due to an incident and is living in Tokyo. She returns to visit Keitarō, and during this reunion, the two make a surprising plan to discover the secret of a long-lost firework.
Do Rokushō in the title refers to the green pigment Paris Green, which was used in fireworks and plays an important role in the story. The word “Akeru” means “dawn” or “new beginning.”
