12 Boruto Challenges the Status Quo of Ninjutsu
Initially upset fans while pushing Ninja to raise their game
While Boruto: Naruto Next Generations initially weakens or “powers down” the jutsu when faced with the Otsutsuki threat, that doesn’t make them useless, as is evident in Two Blue Vortex. This is the result of Shinjutsu, the ability of the Otsutsuki clan, which does not require hand seals or chakra and is essentially the purest precursor of ninjutsu. But the main benefit of ninjutsu, as shown in the Naruto sequel series, is its near-limitless adaptability based on the ingenuity of the user in Boruto, such as the protagonist and others, like Konohamaru, developing new Rasengan techniques.
11 Boruto's World Building Only Benefits Naruto Fans
A new generation witnesses a more livable Shinobi world
Most of Naruto's world building takes place in filler arcs or throughout Part 2 of the series, otherwise things like character interests and hobbies are pretty generic. However, in Boruto, an example of this is “Extreme: Shinobi Picture Scrolls,” a card game beloved by the new generation of ninjas in the series. The game was created by Ereki Kaminarimon, a veteran of the Fourth Great Ninja War who founded the hugely successful Kaminarimon Company as a not-so-subtle reference to the old Naruto card game.
10 Sasuke has a chance to be known more as a mentor to Naruto's son
Boruto's Teacher Has Come a Long Way
Considering Sasuke's complicated relationship with the shinobi of Konoha and Naruto's absence from Boruto's family life, it's interesting to see Boruto turn to a ninja who once defected from his village. Still, it's a perfectly clever and engaging premise as Boruto gets to enjoy the opposite relationship with Sasuke than his father. This, combined with his relationship with Sarada and the release of other side stories about Sasuke, confirms that there are plenty of new stories that Boruto can add to the existing Naruto characters.

7 Female Characters Who Finally Achieved Higher Status in Boruto
Kishimoto's Curse Eases in Series' Next Part
Masashi Kishimoto's portrayal of young female characters in Naruto is often underwhelming, quickly sidelining even key characters like Sakura, with the exception of adult women. However, in Boruto, Sarada Uchiha, Sumire Kakei, Eida, Chōchō Akamichi, and many other female characters have larger roles in the series' world than being obsessed with boys. Sarada awakens her Mangekyo Sharingan and shows clear skill with the Chidori in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, and she, Eida, Chōchō, Delta, and Many female characters are not as easily overlooked as in Naruto.

This includes enhanced combat abilities, innate senjutsu skills, and even powerful attacks like summoning Biju Bombs, making them an extremely dangerous new threat in Boruto.
3 Boruto isn't trying to be Naruto
The series deserves to stand on its own merits.
Chapter #1 of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations is a strong reminder from the start that the series is not a continuation of the same old iterations. Boruto Uzumaki is a powerful, exceptionally talented shinobi with different advantages and ambitions than his father. It shouldn't be judged based on whether it hits the same highs or lows as Naruto, no matter how familiar or easy the territory is.And Boruto said it best himself:
“The Hokage is the head ninja of the village. But this is not the story of a boy who aims to become Hokage. It is the story of my father. This is nothing butMinestory. However, since I am the son of the Hokage, I cannot help but let my father participate in my story. Shinobi have dreams come true, Hokage, andMine The story begins when I was a spoiled child, often sulking because my father did not care about me. I will say this one more time… this isMinestory. Except, just a little bit at the beginning…it's my story.Andmy father.”
-Boruto Uzumaki
Despite the length, Boruto still insists that it is its own story and expectations should be adjusted accordingly. Boruto: Naruto Next Generations and Boruto: Two Blue Vortex both have varying levels of interaction with classic Naruto characters, but they are all about nurturing this new generation of shinobi. At the same time, they grow up to deal with their own issues. Naruto never has to worry about his son going through the same things he did, and that's great because there are completely new experiences, challenges, and adventures in Boruto.
