Akira Toriyama manga color version to be serialized in Saikyō Jump . magazine
Kodoani.com – Shueisha’s August issue of Saikyō Jump revealed on Tuesday that the magazine will begin serialization of the manga. SAND LAND by Akira Toriyama in full color starting with the magazine’s next issue on August 4.
In the distant future, war has destroyed the entire Earth, leaving only a barren wasteland where the water supply is controlled by a greedy king. In search of a long-lost lake, Sheriff Rao enlists the help of the demon king… and finds the king’s son, Beelzebub, and his assistant, Thief. Together, the unlikely trio sets out across the desert, facing dragons, bandits, and their deadliest enemy… the King’s army.
The Sand Land manga is a series of short stories that Toriyama serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from May to August 2000. Shueisha published a compiled book volume in November 2000.
The manga is adapting an upcoming anime that will hit theaters in Japan on August 18. The film will have its world premiere at this year’s Comic-Con International San Diego, which will take place on the 21st. until July 23 in San Diego.
The manga is also adapting an action RPG for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
