The first film Berserk: The Golden Age Arc: I – The Egg of the King premiered in February 2012, followed by Berserk: The Golden Age Arc: II – The Battle for Doldrey in June 2012. Anime Berserk : The Golden Age Arc: III: The Advent was released in February 2013.
Content Summary
He trusts nothing but his sword. He has no place to call home. The lone mercenary Guts travels in a land ravaged by hundreds of years of war. Moving from one battlefield to another, Guts’ skill and bravery eventually caught the attention of Griffith, the leader of a mercenary group called The Band of the Hawk.
Wishing Guts’ power to help him achieve his goal, Griffith succeeded in recruiting but Guts distrusted him and decided by challenging him to a duel and defeating him. As The Band of the Hawk fights together and their bond as a family grows stronger, Griffith and Guts’ bond deepens as well.
With continued success on the battlefield, Griffith takes the first step towards his noble goal: his army of mercenaries is recognized as an official army in the Kingdom of Midland. Despite all their success, Guts begins to question his reasons for fighting for Griffith’s dream, and without his knowledge, fate has bestowed a special fate on both of them. .
