Voice actor Takeo Otsuka, known for his role as Aquamarine Hoshino in Oshi No Ko, announced his recent marriage shortly before the anime's second season premiere on July 3.
The popular anime adaptation topped HIDIVE's charts, drawing attention to Otsuka's role as the pivotal character.
Otsuka's contributions to anime extend beyond Oshi no Ko, including notable series such as Beastars, Tower of God, Mobile Suit Granada: The Witch From Mercury, Sword Art Online, and The Apothecary Diaries.
Although the second season of Oshi no Ko will air on HIDIVE, it will make its North American debut at this year's Anime Expo.
Sharing news of his marriage on social media, Otsuka expressed gratitude to his fans and pledged to work harder. “I have an announcement,” he said.
I recently got married to someone I've been dating for a while. I know I have a lot of room for improvement, but I will continue to be grateful every day and tackle each challenge sincerely. I look forward to your continued support.
Regarding the upcoming season of Oshi no Ko, HIDIVE describes it as focusing on Aqua's journey of revenge in the dark world of the entertainment industry.
Along with her twin sister, Ruby, who pursues her dream of becoming an idol like her deceased mother, Aqua joins a famous theater troupe to discover the truth about their father. He suspects his father orchestrated their mother's death and was once a star in the theater troupe that Aqua wanted to infiltrate.
