It is still unclear what kind of physical damage Horsemen Devils like Control, War, and Famine can withstand. And when readers pay attention to Nayuta's Missing BirthmarkAll signs point to the possibility that the head is a fake, deliberately planted to anger Denji. However, the recent revelation of The official cover of volume #18 seems to confirm Nayuta's fate..
The Chainsaw Man's Hidden Curse
Many characters appearing on the cover of Chainsaw Man Volume have died.
Tatsuki Fujimoto, the author of Chainsaw Man, has proven throughout his series that no matter how beloved a character is, he will not hesitate to kill them off. Many characters who met unfortunate deaths throughout the series later became the focus of a volume's cover artwork.. Examples include Himeno on the cover of volume #3, Katana Man on volume #5, Reze on volume #6, etc.
Nayuta taking center stage in the upcoming #18 doesn't bode well for her, especially since her last appearance was without a body. It's been speculated that Fujimoto may have broken with the tradition of bringing in dead characters when moving on to Part Two of Chainsaw Man, but Yuko's appearance in episode #13 quickly proved otherwise.. Interestingly, all of the volume covers in Part Two feature characters appearing in confined spaces, while Nayuta is drawn in an open field with a city in the distance.
The chainsaw man had no one left to save him.
Upon seeing Nayuta's head on a plate of sushi, Denji lost all control and transformed into the “Armored Chainsaw Man”, causing carnage for anyone brave enough to oppose him. The last time this all-powerful “Hell Hero” appeared, he could not be restrained, and until Power convinced Denji to move on and return to normal.. However, throughout Part Two of Chainsaw Man, Nayuta and his pets are his only family. If the cover of issue #18 confirms Nayuta's death, then Denji really has no one left to save him.
Tatsuki Fujimoto has always been a nonconformist writer, straddling the line between weird and genius. This isn't the first time Control Devil has suffered a serious head injury, although she was virtually immortal in her previous appearances. With her current form, that's all but confirmed. Nayuta last appeared in Chainsaw Man.
