While joy and happiness in Jujutsu Kaisen The universe after defeating Sukuna is undeniable, the victory is far from complete. As long as humanity still harbors negative emotions, The threat of the curse will remain.. With the chaos and instability caused by Kenjaku and Sukuna's efforts to usher in a “New Age of Magic,” a new leader was needed to rally the jujutsu forces, and one individual emerged as the undeniable “strongest.”
Satoru Gojo firmly believes that the younger generation holds the key to a brighter future in the world of Jujutsu Kaisen. That is one of the fundamental reasons Why did he become a Jujutsu teacher? and mentor to young and emerging Jujutsu masters. Gojo realized that the current generation of young Jujutsu masters possessed special talents that were rarely seen in such large numbers. More importantly, Gojo saw in them fresh perspectives, values, and ways of thinking that could challenge the traditional ways of thinking that, in his view, had hindered the advancement of Jujutsu master society.
However, with the deaths of the most powerful, experienced, and well-prepared Jujutsu wizards in the battle against Kenjaku and Sukuna, the transition to the younger generation was swift. Now, the responsibility of protecting humanity fell to the talented but disorganized group of young men that Gojo had placed so much hope in. Inevitably, this burden would fall on the man who had put an end to Sukuna, proving himself to be the new “strongest”: Yuji Itadori.
Along with Gojo, Sukuna and Kenjaku Gone, Yuji is the strongest in Jujutsu Kaisen.
Yuji rose through the flames of battle against Sukuna
Long Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter #11, Gojo specifically identifies Yuji as having the potential to “be as good as me one day”. The fact that he considered Yuji his disciple shows that he believed in his potential. However, at the time Gojo made this statement, it seemed ridiculous. He said it only a few months after Yuji enrolled at Tokyo Jujutsu High School. At that time, Gojo also mentioned that two of his more outstanding students, Yuta Okkotsu and Kinji Hakari, were on their way to becoming as strong as him—if not stronger than him.
Gojo's claim about Yuji was not empty words. After Gojo's death, Sukuna and Kenjaku—three of the most powerful mages in the story—Yuji is considered the strongest mage alive.. Aside from Maki Zenin, no one can match his natural strength, speed, and durability. If superheroes existed in the Jujutsu Kaisen universe, Yuji would be the closest.
His superhuman abilities, granted by the fact that he possesses a body that is said to be Sukuna's vessel, are further enhanced by the cursed energy abilities he later acquires. For example, the combination of Black Flash and Divergent Fist was enough to put Sukuna in a difficult position during their battle.
Throughout the story, Yuji manages to acquire some of the most powerful curse techniques ever used by a mage or a curse. From his half-brother Choso, He learned and adapted to the ability to control blood. — the power to turn his own blood into a weapon. Through his training to fight Sukna, he mastered what was considered the worst cursed technique: the Reverse Curse Technique, a literal self-revival technique that allowed him to quickly heal from fatal wounds. He eventually gained a version of Sukuna's Temple Technique and the ability to open a Domain, a talent reserved for only a select few supreme mages.
Only Yuji can lead the world of Jujutsu Kaisen into a new era.

Some fans might argue that Yuta or Hakari—the other young mages Gojo identified as having the potential to surpass him—are better suited to take on the role of Jujutsu mage leader. However, Yuji distinguished himself from them in his battle with Sukuna. Indeed, despite his considerable abilities, Hakari played a relatively minor role in that conflict. Furthermore, it was clear that he lacked both the mindset and inclination for leadership. As the Jujutsu mage community faces challenging times ahead, strong, dedicated leadership will be essential.
On the contrary, Yuta is Yuji's only rival in terms of strongest mage.. Yuta has always been considered a prodigy, on his way to replacing Gojo as the bastion of the jujutsu community. His immense curse energy, Rika's abilities, and a broken curse technique make Yuta a serious contender for the top spot.

However, it must be said that Yuta came out of the fight with Sukuna much worse than Yuji. He essentially died twice, both times surviving by a very small margin. Yuta had to perform a number of dangerous stunts, including having his brain transplanted into Gojo's body, and while he appears to be (miraculously) alive and well as of chapter #269 of Jujutsu Kaisen, there's no telling what the long-term effects of this will be on his body.
There was no need to worry about Yuji. His natural strength, combined with his cursed abilities, made him the healthiest and strongest he has ever been. Despite receiving considerable help, Yuji single-handedly dealt the final blow to Sukuna. Furthermore, he was the only one capable of confusing Sukuna, casting doubt on his arrogance. Notably, Yuji's decision to give Sukuna a chance to live and redeem himself showed his leadership and ability to bring harmony to the divided Jujutsu community.
Yuji's transformation is unprecedented
The series finale cleared up all doubts about the real protagonist of Jujutsu Kaisen.
Yuji's abilities stem from many factors, not the least of which is his incredible natural talent. Unlike some of his classmates, Yuji was not born into a great wizarding family, nor did he discover his talent at a young age. He discovered his abilities late in life and almost by accident. However, once Yuji's abilities were “activated” after swallowing Sukuna's finger, no other wizard showed the same rapid improvement.
Despite not having any innate curse powers, Yuji quickly developed the abilities necessary to face the Curse King just months after swallowing his finger, thanks to being the reincarnation of Sukuna's twin brother and Kenjaku's manipulation of his bloodline. However, like Gojo, Yuji's most significant power comes when pushed to the brink.
“It's lonely without you, Fushiguro” – Yuji Itadori
More importantly, however, unlike Gojo, Yuji does not have to shoulder the burden of protecting humanity alone. While Gojo is defined by the loneliness of the strong, Yuji is defined by the bonds he is able to create, as perfectly demonstrated when he is finally able to reach Megumi and awaken his spirit, forcing Sukuna out.
From the very beginning, Yuji was an exception. Biologically engineered for evil purposes, Yuji has evolved into humanity's last best hope – and the obvious choice to lead Jujutsu Kaisen magic in the new age
