Kodoani.com – After the first part was released in June, “BOCCHI THE ROCK! Re:Re:“The second part of a two-part anime series based on the television anime series”BOCCHI THE ROCK!,” officially premiered in Japan on August 9, 2024. Shortly after its premiere, the film's website announced two main songs: the opening theme “Doppelganger” and the ending theme “Re:Re:.”
“Doppelganger” is the third song performed in Kessoku Band's first live concert, following “Guitar to Kodoku to Aoi Hoshi” and “Ano Band.” However, the performance of this song is not depicted in the anime. Currently, the official website of the anime is streaming a lyric video of the song.
The ending theme “Re:Re:” is a cover version of the 22nd single of the same name by Japanese rock band ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION, released in March 2016. Hitori Goto (voiced by Yoshino Aoyama) serves as the lead vocalist.
Both “Doppelganger” and “Re:Re:” are now available on music streaming platforms. Additionally, Kessoku Band's new mini-album, which includes all four theme songs for the recap films, titled “Re: Kessoku Band,” is scheduled to be released in Japan on August 14.
The television anime adaptation of Aki Hamaji's four-panel manga “BOCCHI THE ROCK!” aired for 12 episodes from October to December 2022. Crunchyroll is reportedly planning to release the two recap films in theaters in North America.

After becoming a talented guitarist, she posted videos of herself playing the guitar online under the name “Guitar Hero” and dreamed of performing at the school's cultural festival concert. However, she couldn't find any members for the band, and when she realized it, she had already finished high school without making any friends! She had become a complete shut-in, until one day, Nijika Ijichi, the drummer of Kessoku Band, approached her. From then on, her life began to change little by little…
